Precise beta2 isos (which contains the buggy version of gstreamer) are still available (new daily builds are OK now). I just downloaded x86_64 beta2 iso in order to test, but have no idea what exactly means "get a backtrace of all threads"...
I agree with miegiel description, but for me, when the computer is stuck, no more responsive, it is just hanging :-) For sure, CPU is 100% and more an more memory is used, but I've never been able to wait for about 1 hour...
