** Description changed: gnome-terminal doesn't redraw if content in a screen window changens. The problem seems to only occur when the window size is diffent than 80x24. This is what I do to produce the problem: From a clean Ubuntu 12.04 32bit install - * Open Gnome-terminal. + * Open Gnome-terminal. Resize the window. * ssh somewhere * attach to a running screen session with irssi * type a message, and hit return. Notice that the message does not appear until you hit ctrl+l or someone else says something in the channel. + + -- OR -- + + From a clean Ubuntu 12.04 32bit install + * Open Gnome-terminal. Resize the window. + * run `man <something>`, for instance `man screen` or `man ls` + Do this several times... (a lot of times) + at some occasions, the man-page will fail to render, and you'll get a blank screen. If you move the cursor, the text will appear again. + ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 12.04 Package: gnome-terminal 3.4.1.1-0ubuntu1 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 3.2.0-24.37-generic-pae 3.2.14 Uname: Linux 3.2.0-24-generic-pae i686 NonfreeKernelModules: nvidia ApportVersion: 2.0.1-0ubuntu5 Architecture: i386 Date: Fri Apr 27 08:09:11 2012 ExecutablePath: /usr/bin/gnome-terminal InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 12.04 LTS "Precise Pangolin" - Release i386 (20120423) ProcEnviron: PATH=(custom, no user) LANG=en_US.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash SourcePackage: gnome-terminal UpgradeStatus: No upgrade log present (probably fresh install)
