Public bug reported:

If i'm correct Ubuntu support fingerprint readers in user accounts as i
read on the page: https://help.ubuntu.com/11.04/ubuntu-help/session-
fingerprint.html

I cannot find a list of supported devices, but do know that my device is
not nativily supported.

I installed fingerprint reader and it does support my fingerprint
reader.

It would be nice to add the AES1600 from authentec to the supported
devices as well as the others supported by fingerprint GUI. I'm not a
driver developer, but as Fingerprint GUI can find the fingerprint reader
i think it should not be too difficult to incorporate it in Ubuntu. Or
am i wrong?

Althoug Fingerprint gui works somewhat stable. It does crash sometimes
and the look of it is not native and nice in my honest opinion.

Maybe someone with experience can tell me if fingerprint gui (at least
the driver part) can be incorporated in Ubuntu?

Thanks for all your good work!
