For those where the suggested solution of: <quote> rm -R ~/.config/gnome-session/saved-session </quote> doesn't work, check your ~/.config/autostart directory where you will find the appropriately named files that continue to annoy you. Edit or Delete them. <b>Editing the files</b> In my experience; right clicking the files offers no 'Open With' option so to edit them use the command line or drag the files onto an open instance of gedit and change (if 'true') the following filed to false as shown below. X-GNOME-Autostart-enabled=false
