Public bug reported:
Hello...
As title says, nautilus hangs at start...
What I did was to remove the ~/.cache/gnome-control/center/backgrounds
folder to see if i could make gnome re-cache the backgrounds to the
systems default and to see if it would make the background changer go
faster... id did not, it just made nautilus crash (ok, I was expecting
something) but then I could not start it again. I got the following
message:
nautilus: could not register the application: timeout was reached
ok.. so i looked around on google and saw that some one deleted all settings
linked to nautilus:
~/.local/share/nautilus/
~/.config/nautilus/
~/.gconf/apps/nautilus
well it now starts sort-of, I get a white window and there is nothing else, so
I think that it just hanged at start...
All I want is a fast fix for this :-)
ltrace file and strace attached.
