3) Gnome Sound applet appearing and working

4) Nothing

Hello,

I am using Ubuntu 12.04 32bit, updated to the latest available packages,
on a Macbook Pro 6,2.

The Gnome Sound applet disappeared from the top panel.
Additionally, if I try to manually run it, nothing happens and no errors are
given:
---
$ gnome-sound-applet

---

The same happens with gdb:

---
(gdb) run
Starting program: /usr/bin/gnome-sound-applet
[Thread debugging using libthread_db enabled]
Using host libthread_db library "/lib/i386-linux-gnu/libthread_db.so.1".
[New Thread 0xb69eeb40 (LWP 4068)]
[New Thread 0xb5fffb40 (LWP 4069)]

---

The sound is working, e.g. Rhythmbox plays music.

Let me know if you need additional information.

Cheers
