Public bug reported: See attached screenshot. I'm getting extremely slow PTP transfers from my Galaxy Nexus phone, on the order of 80kbytes/s via usb.
Sometimes it stalls and errors, sometimes ubuntu won't even mount the device, and when it finally does, it's slow.
