I work with Xubuntu 12.04 on a MacBook Air 4,1. I have the "Single click to
activate items" option checked (Applications Menu -> Settings -> Settings
Manager -> File Manager -> Behavior). This works perfectly fine in Thunar, I
can open subfolders by just clicking them once. However, it is not respected if
I do this (for example):
1) Open google.com (I use google-chrome) and search for "xubuntu"
2) Right-click the first link and choose "Save Link As..."
3) A "Save File" window is opened. In there, navigate to whatever subfolder and
you'll see that you need to double-click folders to be opened during
navigating. So, apparently, the "Single click to activate items" is not
respected in this case.
