Public bug reported: When I add an LDAP address book, Evolution won't search the database.
I've entered the following information for the address book: The "Server" field contains "crtdir.certifikat.dk", and the port is 389. I've specified an insecure connection (that is, without SSL or TLS) and anonymous login. The login field is left empty. In the details tab, the search base is "c=DK", and the search tree is specified as subtree. The search filter is left empty. The above LDAP server answers queries that are performed from the command line; for example: ldapsearch -x -h crtdir.certifikat.dk -b "c=DK" "[email protected]" will return its search results for the email address "[email protected]". For debugging, I set up an LDAP server on my own computer. According to the LDAP debug log set to max debugging level, evolution doesn't even seem to attempt to connect to the LDAP server.
