Public bug reported:
I'm reporting this here because it is very similar to bug #872932, on
different hardware (dell latitude e6510).
Ubuntu keeps dimming the screen, seemingly at random times. If I go into
the options to "Brightness and Lock" it still shows the requested
brightness level, but I have to change it to get back to that brightness
level (by moving the slider or FN+brightness keys).
The option to "Dim screen to save power" is turned off. The problem
occurs both when plugged in and when not.
