[x] option to show the damn global menu all the time i believe that was the original complaint here; recently there's been all these other options thrown in like someone *wanted* to muddy the issue. LIM fwiw is a cute variation on the theme of having the menu on the window, but which is just going to introduce more difficult design decisions that kicks everything further down the road (what to do about important window-title text especially if there's a no-autohide option, what to do when the window gets narrower than the menu...) to which the answers are going to be, in short, complex behaviour and clutter.
We just wanted the menu to not auto-hide. How can that be taking *years*? Time is not silencing the argument here! And there's little point in repeating this isn't a place to vote when there *isn't* a place to vote.
