Public bug reported:
Hi,
Every day when I start up evolution, it seems that it begin to download
the whole GAL of my company. It uses a lot of memory (even swap) and
makes the system unstable.
Ubuntu 12.10 beta2 updated -d
Evolution 3.6.0.ubuntu3
Connected to company's Exchange (2010) using evolution-ews
Removed the option of caching the offline address book, under account properties
My organization has more than 100 K contacts in the GAL. From day to day
evolution-addressbook download the whole list of contacts, despite it
hasn't change. So it makes new directories under the path
".cache/evolution/addressbook", each of them bigger than 2Gb (!!!). I
always has to kill the process, remove the oldest directories and leave
the newest ones.
After that, I can work :-)
