You have been subscribed to a public bug:
I have Ubuntu 12.04 with latest updates.
Also I have Qnap NAS (let mark its IP as 192.168.x.x) with normally configured
share 'share_name'.
I have mounted a the Samba share in Nautilus, added it to bookmarks in the
Sidebar. When I click to this Bookmark in Network section, it opens and
Nautilus reports Location 'smb://192.168.x.x/share_name/'. So I see my files
and folders.
If I go to any GTK application, for example 'meld' and try to open file from my
Samba share I can't see this Bookmark.
If I manually navigate to folder '/home/user/.gvfs/share_name on 192.168.x.x' I
can see my files. If I try to add this path to bookmarks I get message:
"Could not add a bookmark
smb://192.168.x.x/share_name/ already exists in the bookmarks list
".
But bookmark is not shown.
Access to Network shares is a common task, so this bug must be fixed.
