because gvfs does tons of things, the main one is handling of disks and
mounts. samba is only one of the backends (it has some for ftp, sftp,
webdav, etc etc etc). The new version has lot of bugs fixed, and usually
GNOME components should be on the same version so you would need to
downgrade nautilus to and old version as well
