I didn't even DO a cross-platform exchange. I ZIPed it on one Ubuntu machine and tried to unzip it on another. No luck. Now I can't even change the names of the files in the ZIP-archive. So, just because they have a special character in the file name, the files seem to be stuck in the archive. Can't get them out. It is frustrating. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/495880 Title: Extracting a file with german "Umlaut" in the filename doesn't work To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/file-roller/+bug/495880/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
