I have a related problem: my Nexus S doesn't actually expose MTP, and so gvfs pops up an error dialog each time I plug it in
I checked, and this seems to have been already fixed upstream: (4e21 is the wrong id... 4e25 apparently is fine) http://sourceforge.net/p/libmtp/code/ci/master/tree/src/music-players.h If current devices truly have a different id when they have MTP enabled or not, I think that Ubuntu on phablet should just be a good citizen, and change it as well -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gvfs in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1160847 Title: gvfs should not attempt to mount MTP devices in an endless loop (cluttering your desktop with messages) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gvfs/+bug/1160847/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
