I would like to confirm this bug. But this would need more discussion. I've seen a similiar behaviour also on LibreOffice and so on.
** Changed in: gimp (Ubuntu) Status: New => Confirmed ** Description changed: Binary package hint: gimp When I close/log off Ubuntu with an edited file in The GIMP then it doesn't save the file. I would expect a dialog saying: "Save the changes to image 'My Image.jpg' before closing? " and three options: don't save, save and cancel... but instead I get nothing and my image gets lost. - - =========== - lsb_release -rd: - - Description: Ubuntu 10.04.2 LTS - Release: 10.04 - - ============ - apt-cache policy gimp: - - gimp: - Installed: 2.6.8-2ubuntu1.2 - Candidate: 2.6.8-2ubuntu1.2 - Version table: - *** 2.6.8-2ubuntu1.2 0 - 500 http://gb.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ lucid-updates/main Packages - 500 http://security.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ lucid-security/main Packages - 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status - 2.6.8-2ubuntu1 0 - 500 http://gb.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ lucid/main Packages ** Description changed: - Binary package hint: gimp - When I close/log off Ubuntu with an edited file in The GIMP then it - doesn't save the file. + When I close/log off Ubuntu with an edited file in The GIMP then it doesn't save the file.
