Public bug reported:

I have a folder full of gif files.
Of most of them, the thumbnail is shown.
But for a few of them, randomly, only a generic "GIF" thumbnail is shown 
instead.

Refreshing the directory doesn't fix the issue.

The files are just fine: I can open them in the default image viewer and
see the images.
