Public bug reported: Writing anything in `gedit` works fine until I invoke <kdb>Strg</kbd>+<kbd>v</kbd> for inserting text. After the insert action which works fine the mouse disappears and is only visible when moved. The visibility when moved is very poor (only ~4 updates per second which makes a very unsteady picture). From time to time the cursor is affected as well with the exact same problem (invisible when not moving and only badly visible when moved (with keyboard arrows)).
