Addition: Shortcuts resume to work after logging out and logging back in again by killing all processes with "kill -9 -1". However it was not possible to logout via the menue due to some still running processes (maybe those "open terminal" commands I've called via keyboard-shortcut but which weren't executed?). Possibly this is related
