@Mekk I think that you nailed the problem in #77 (and you forgot all the settings via XKB in xorg.conf hierarchy, and /usr/share/X11/xkb/, and .Xmodmap, and IBus, and ....).
I have the sensation (mind you --- this is not at all an accusation to anyone; I tried to dig into it and failed) that no one has a clear idea of how the keyboard is configured, chosen and modyfied. I found a solution for me (no switching, defined "use system keyboard layout" in IBus setup AND disabled IBus --- don't ask, and defininign my own keyboard).
