In earlier versions, the test pdf attached would render each page almost instantaneously, it now takes several seconds per page. Even Firefox (with the built-in PDF renderer, HTML5) can render this much more quickly. In order to test this, it is not enough to look at a single page, but you need to quickly flick through several pages. Note that the file itself is pretty light. I'm using Sandybridge integarted graphics, i5-2450M.
