Short summary: these are hotkeys for changing between gnome-terminal tabs. You can disable these shortcuts, in that case they'll be forwarded to irssi or whichever other applications. Older versions of gnome-terminal switched tab when there was a tab with that given number, and forwarded the key to the application if there wasn't. E.g. with 3 gnome-terminal tabs opened, Alt+3 switched to the rightmost, whereas Alt+4 send this to irssi. This "dual" behavior is no longer supported. ** Bug watch added: GNOME Bug Tracker #730128 https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=730128 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-terminal in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1431371 Title: Left Alt + <num> is not passed to irssi in terminal when in GUI To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-terminal/+bug/1431371/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
