twofold - audio cd's & blank media are affected by the gnome setting of org.gnome.desktop.media-handling automount In neither case can the media be mounted, auto or otherwise, only accessed by location. So setting org.gnome.desktop.media-handling automount to false should have no effect on those actions but it does.
In the case of blank media it causes an 'error' pop up, attached. ** Tags added: vivid wily ** Attachment added: "Screenshot from 2015-06-01 13:45:15.png" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gvfs/+bug/1337657/+attachment/4408160/+files/Screenshot%20from%202015-06-01%2013%3A45%3A15.png -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gvfs in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1337657 Title: optical media, (cdda & blank media), should not be affected by org.gnome.desktop.media-handling automount setting To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gvfs/+bug/1337657/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
