Public bug reported: I used Gedit to edit a file on a network share. Now when I attempt to start Gedit while having no access to this network share, Gedit doesn't render anything in the window. So I see no menu, no toolbar, no tabs, just the default window background.
Steps to reproduce: 1) open a file from CIFS share in Gedit 2) close Gedit 3) disable network 4) try to start Gedit I see this problem in Gedit 3.10.4 on Ubuntu 15.04 I have reported that issue upstream (https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=751274) and apparently Ubuntu uses a very old Gedit that has "recent files" feature that causes the problem.
