Public bug reported:
I am not totally sure what is going on with SDC and gnome 'disks'. I
experimented with a test case example.
1. Use SDC to create bootable xenial USB drive from ISO.
2. Then format the USB drive using 'disks'
3. Then use 'disks' to ADD a partition to the USB drive and the error that I
had sent up was what was shown on my screen.
However .. I have tried to re-produce this error after reboot and it
appears to be gone - but I will have to go through the process again of
using SDC to install xenial ISO to USB first and then try to use
'disks' to format , then create a FAT32 partition.
