This issue is no longer observable in a standard console X11 login on Xenial.
There is still an issue with GVFS daemons hanging around after an XFCE session that was launched from a terminal (as in a remote X11 session), but that is actually due to dbus-launch not being killed at the end of the session. If dbus-launch is killed, it takes the GVFS daemons with it. I've filed this bug for the dbus-launch issue: https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1577920 ** Changed in: gvfs (Ubuntu) Status: New => Fix Released -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gvfs in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1131442 Title: gvfsd-trash process survives logout To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gvfs/+bug/1131442/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
