functions that do not work: Fn+F2: toggle wireless (antenna symbol) Fn+F5: Brightness down (full sun symbol) Fn+F6: Brightness up (empty sun symbol) Fn+F2 does not do anything, Fn+F5 and Fn+F6 crash X (or Gnome or Beryl, I'm not sure) and turn the screen black for a few seconds after witch I get back to the login screen. My session is lost. I was unable to record any keycodes with the 3 methods provided on https://wiki.ubuntu.com/LaptopTestingTeam/HotkeyResearch At least not for those 3 combinations, other combinations (volume controls for example) do produce output. Version: Ubuntu 6.10, fully updated it's a clean install. Problem exists with standard Gnome and with Beryl. Steps to reproduce: Boot, hit the buttons. Identifying my laptop: ASUSTeK Computer Inc.
