Public bug reported:

Hello,

When using Startup Applications in a fresh install of 16.04 I select "Add" and
place my information for the program in the proper lines.
An example is a terminal package called Guake.
In 14.04 when using the Startup Applications and adding this package it would
run at startup, reboot or re-logging in. in 14.04 in general I have not
encountered this issue.
There is a item that is always there and that is "NVIDIA X Server Settings"
(this may be the cause of my other issue Bug 1615864), but I will leave that to
the other report.
I also noticed after adding the program to autostart at boot up that there was
nothing added to the .config/autostart folder. Maybe this is not related?
Again, pointing to Bug 1615864 for the reason the script is not autostarting.
Could this be an issue with autostart not reading the added items from the GUI
or even the manually added script I placed in the autostart folder for my
graphics issue?

I must have added Guake a dozen times along with some test items to
start. Each and every time the items fall out of the GUI and have to be
re-added and they did not run after boot.

Thanks
GEE
