> If gnome-session is installed, won't it instead default to GNOME > instead of the Ubuntu session?
This is a case I tested, and no it won't default to GNOME. Under the covers it will still default to the last enabled session, in that case ubuntu-xorg (because the desktop file is there). The greeter doesn't know of that session though, so it can't tell which session is selected. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gdm3 in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1718446 Title: Ensure wayland -> xorg fallback to the corresponding session To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/gdm/+bug/1718446/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
