Public bug reported: Impact ===== There is a 3.26.2 bugfix release. It updates translations (gnome-characters doesn't use Ubuntu language packs since it's in universe) and fixes one bug:
Search from the Recently Used panel doesn't work. Recently Used is the first panel shown assuming you have used the app before. https://git.gnome.org/browse/gnome-characters/tree/NEWS https://git.gnome.org/browse/gnome-characters/log/ Ubuntu Budgie 17.10 includes gnome-characters by default. (Ubuntu GNOME 17.04 did too so upgraders will probably still have it installed.) Test Case ========= Open Characters Click on a character so that you have at least one item in Recently Used. Close Characters. Open Characters. Search for "smiling". You should see search results. Regression Potential ==================== 2-line bug fix and translation updates. There is an approved micro-release exception for GNOME. https://wiki.ubuntu.com/StableReleaseUpdates#GNOME ** Affects: gnome-characters (Ubuntu) Importance: Low Status: Fix Committed ** Affects: gnome-characters (Ubuntu Artful) Importance: Low Status: Triaged ** Tags: artful upgrade-software-version ** Also affects: gnome-characters (Ubuntu Artful) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Changed in: gnome-characters (Ubuntu Artful) Status: New => Triaged ** Changed in: gnome-characters (Ubuntu Artful) Importance: Undecided => Low -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-characters in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1728633 Title: Characters: Search from Recently Used doesn't work To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-characters/+bug/1728633/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
