One temporary work around until Feisty goes GA is to find what file is causing the problem (in my case it was /etc/hosts but Stuart Bishop seemed to have a problem with /etc/interfaces), make a clean copy of it, and use a script to restore it on boot. It means you need to launch network-admin on every boot... but it works. I'm working to backport a patch to Edgy, but I don't know if it will work yet. But you can have my current solution working in 5 minutes. -- network-admin crashes on startup https://launchpad.net/bugs/76397 -- desktop-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
