sorry for need updating this bug report, I had switched back to xorg because of too many bugs in wayland. Now running bionic 18.04 which use xorg by default. Can't say it is a bad decision, it feels like 17.10 was for beta testing whereas not advertised as such.
After testing over a month, this gnome-shell issue on wayland was tailored to clipboard-indicator use. It did not appear without this extension. But this is clearly is gnome-shell issue (it should not crash so easily and freeze the entire system). -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-shell in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1750352 Title: gnome-shell freeze on key press while high CPU load To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-shell/+bug/1750352/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
