On bug LP: #771719: it's said "Pressing the power button should not start the shutdown sequence once the installer has started writing files to the disk."
IMHO: Option 1: "Remove / Hide power button as installer has started writing files to the disk". Option 2: "Prompt user that system will in a no-working state if he insist to power down or reboot. So that user can decide what he really want." -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-shell in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1715602 Title: ubiquity-dm / Install Ubuntu - Power button does nothing To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/oem-priority/+bug/1715602/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
