My system stuck at ubuntu logo while booting. This issue occurred only
after installing it, not when I choose 'Try without Installing'. This
doesn't happen in 16.04.4.

WORKAROUND: Using the following kernel boot parameter allows me to boot but the 
maximum resolution is limited to 1024x768:
