The same occurs with me, but there is no apport files into /var/crash, even with the crash interception component enabled:

The steps that I've been executed: 1) execute '$ brasero'; 2) create 'Video project'; 3) add one or more mp4 files to the list; 4) clicked 'Burn...'; 5) in "Video Options' I've checked 'Aspect Ratio = 16:9' instead '4:3'; 5.1) the options checked are: Video Options > Video format = Native format; Video Options > Aspect ratio = 16:9; Burning speed = Maximum speed; Options > Use burnproof; Options > Simulate before burning; Temporary files > "/tmp". 6) clicked 'Burn'; 7) Brasero stops working.
