I can confirm that this bug still exists in 18.04. In my case in a completely fresh install with nothing added / configured except for chromium being installed (and packages updated).
Installed Friday afternoon and came back in to work Monday to find the disk full as per the original report. Hardware in this instance is an Intel NUC7i3BNH - an identical system just installed does exactly the same thing. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-shell in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1772677 Title: gnome-shell filling up syslog with thousands of entries (stack traces ending in osdWindow.js:206/207) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-shell/+bug/1772677/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
