I have a firmware update pending (handy!).
Go to the firmware update tab, click Update on the fwupdate.
After a second or two it tells me that it's done and the update disappears from
the list.
Clicking "refresh", the update stays hidden.
Quitting and reloading g-s, the update stays hidden, as expected.
All passed.
