I have assigned this bug to gnome-keyring, because it just idiotic it
even asks for passwords to store passwords associated with a user.

They are associated with a user. It should not ask for a 'global'
password in the beginnen, nor one to access stuff. Just one question
'can program X use the keyring?' 'yes' 'no' 'always'

Secondly a bunch of trusted programs should be allowed to use the
keyring by default. Including webbrowsers, network-manager and nautilus.

At this point, the whole keyring thingie is just too intrusive.
No one is going to use a different password for their keyring as they are using
for their login anyway. No one, wants to keep entering a password to use a
password.

gnome-keyring-maintainer .. could we change the defaults?

** Changed in: network-manager (Ubuntu)
Sourcepackagename: network-manager => gnome-keyring
       Status: Unconfirmed => Confirmed
