as of this morning's updates, this problem seems to have disappeared. I've been able to log out and back in several times to my ubuntu wayland session, at least on my i915 machine (the dell laptop).
nb: this morning's updates updated gnome-session-bin and ubuntu-session to 3.33.92-1ubuntu1, gdm3 to 3.33.92-2ubuntu1, but mutter and gnome- shell remain at 3.33.91.<something>. (Also and probably not coincidentally seeing some unrelated dash-or-ubuntudock issues, but i'll wait to see if they're resolved when gnome-shell goes up to 3.33.92 too.) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-shell in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1841915 Title: black screen, unresponsive, after logout from gnome Wayland session To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gdm3/+bug/1841915/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
