Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: gthumb
Issue: When saving an image with a file-type of JPEG, PNG, TGA, or TIFF
the file extension is not automatically appended to the file if not
typed-in by the user.
Solution: gThumb should automatically append proper file extension to
the file name when a File Type is specified from the combo box.
Note: This bug will be frustrating for users who are not familiar with
file types and/or file extensions.
