We find almost all leaks are caused by extensions so please start by uninstalling all of these:
'caffe...@patapon.info', 'gsconn...@andyholmes.github.io', 'remove-dropdown-arr...@mpdeimos.com', 'status-area-horizontal-spac...@mathematical.coffee.gmail.com', 'compiz-alike-windows-eff...@hermes83.github.com', 'custom-hot-corn...@janrunx.gmail.com', 'transparent-top-...@zhanghai.me' and then restart. If the high memory usage continues then please check the 'Extensions' app, and check that there is no subdirectory in your home directory called: ~/.local/share/gnome-shell/extensions ** Tags added: gnome-shell-leak ** Changed in: gnome-shell (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-shell in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1899313 Title: GNOME Shell consumes a lot of memory - Groovy To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-shell/+bug/1899313/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
