When there is an update available (and displayed on the Updates tab) for
some of the core (protected) Snaps, a "Remove" button appears on that
Snap entry on "Installed" tab. It happened recently for me on a new,
fully updated Ubuntu 20.04 installation when there was a "snapd" update
available on the Updates tab. The "Remove" button did disappear after
updating that Snap using snap-store.
