Thanks. That shows gnome-shell is using 392MB resident set size (RSS): USER PID %CPU %MEM VSZ RSS TTY STAT START TIME COMMAND damir 4144 9.1 3.2 4681844 392216 ? Rsl 09:48 0:52 /usr/bin/gnome-shell
The 4.6GB is virtual address space (VSZ). Not memory usage. That figure is normal and not a bug. Your gnome-shell is only using 392MB of RAM. ** Changed in: gnome-shell (Ubuntu) Status: Incomplete => Invalid -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-shell in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1926598 Title: gnome-shell ram usage To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-shell/+bug/1926598/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
