Aaron, can you please clarify something for me.. I downloaded the google chrome deb and double clicking on it opens it in the Software Install application and I can install it just fine. And you said this would happen. But how did you reproduce the error exactly? Step 3a is ambiguous to me. Can you expand on what you did to open the deb in Software Install that causes the error?
