Public bug reported:

I am using Ubuntu 22.04

When trying to uninstall a .deb application using gnome-software (it
does not matter whether it is the snap store or the .deb gnome-
software), it does not uninstall the application and a pop-up window
appears with "Unable to remove <app name>: no packages to remove"

Steps to reproduce:

1) Open "Software"
2) Go to the "Installed" tab
3) Click on "Uninstall" in a .deb application

What is expected?
Dialog to enter the admin password and application is uninstalled

What happens

The password is never asked, and a pop-up appears saying "Unable to
remove <app name>: no packages to remove"
