Please try:
1. Update the system:
sudo apt update
sudo apt full-upgrade
2. Reboot.
3. On the login screen select 'Ubuntu on Wayland'.
4. Does the bug still occur in the Wayland session?
5. While in the Wayland session please run:
journalctl -b0 > journal.txt
6. Attach the resulting text file here.
