It sounds like one or more of your keys are logically stuck down. Maybe the = key and maybe others. Please try a different keyboard.
If however you find other distros don't have the bug then this might be some kind of accessibility feature that's been accidentally enabled. Please: 1. Settings > Accessibility > Always Show Accessibility Menu = ON 2.
