OK. I couldn't find any crash file. When running with `systemctl start
gdm3` after a boot without gdm3, it works. It only fails if run at boot
(i.e. doing a stop/start with `systemctl enable gdm3`) - then it hangs
indefinitely and leaves no obvious trace of a failure.

I'm about to upgrade to 22.10 though, so maybe we can close this bug as
invalid?

(I have the full journalctl logs of both a working lightdm and non-
working gdm3 boots in case someone really wants to go through them)
