To be absolutely fair, I have to add this: One thing, namely the handling of BiDi _control_ characters at the very beginning of a paragraph (logical line), remains as a TODO item both in the spec and in VTE's implementation (both of which are really nontrivial).
I just ran out of motivation and time, so it's probably waiting for someone else to fix it. In the unlikely case that "apt"'s given message begins with such a character, and VTE chopping it off is the reason for the wrong order, then it's my fault :) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to vte in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2002290 Title: Poor Arabic rendering in VTE To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-terminal/+bug/2002290/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
